These Heroes Fighting Hunger need grateful Americans to help with this important and honorable cause to provide their dependents (their children) with "emergency and temporary" food assistance that doesn't require them to stand in a food line. Heroes Fighting Hunger has two programs to combat childhood hunger in America. Bag Hunger mobilizes great people just like you to have simple and fun food collections to meet food shortage needs for children and families in the community where you live, work and play.
M*A*S*H Hunger provides emergency and short-term grocery support for families in Active Duty Military Service and the dependents of those Wounded In Action (WIA) - Missing In Action (MIA) - Prisoner Of War (POW) - or Killed In Action (KIA). The mission of Heroes Fighting Hunger is to put ourselves out of business by eliminating child hunger in America. We will accomplish this by mobilizing our fellow Americans to have Simple & Fun Neighborhood and Workplace Food Collections while increasing Public Awareness and initiating goventment policy improvements and change at all levels.

For the first time in history a majority — 51% — of school age children live in low-income families. Although poverty is complicated, feeding hungry children in America is not. Our strategy is simple. We facilitate Simple & Fun Food Collections supplemented by donations (to provide for logistical needs, food sorting, storage, transportation, etc.).
